Pat has a lifetime of experience and expertise as a lead technician in Automotive Service.  He has been our engine builder and machinist for years, creating powerful motors with proven reliability.   Pat has the experience and expertise to solve even the most challenging problems facing modern technicians.  Combined with his methodical workmanship, Pat excels as Berkshire County’s best and most accomplished automotive technicians.

Charlie Fassell
Service Technician

Charles has been with the company since 2006 as a service technician. Previously he spent 23 years at a local dealership.  Charles is fully ASE certified and capable of providing professional service in all areas of automotive repair.

Mike Spencer
Fabrication, Restoration and Service Technician

Mike came to us with more skills than one person should have.  His strong engineering background and logical diagnostic abilities make him a leader in automotive service and restoration.  He is a creative and careful fabricator and welder.  His answer is  usually a clever and logical solution to problems.  Mike has quickly become a great addition to Donovan Motorcar Service’s talented staff.
 
Kathy Grandshaw
Office Manager

Kathy joined the Donovan Motorcar family in the spring of 2009.  A Berkshire County native, she has over 21 years of bookkeeping and office management experience.  Kathy drives day-to-day business  operations to ensure the office runs smoothly and efficiently. As office manager Kathy also plans and directs the financial controls of the growing business.
 
David Hathaway
Logistical Engineer

David was born into the automotive world and has been with Donovan’s since 1991. David is the logistical engineer for Donovan Motorcar Service’s Vintage Race Team and also helps with preparation of the race cars and miscellaneous shop work.  As an experienced crew chief and SCCA official, David has an impressive track background.  Dave has been extensively involved in all sorts of automotive competition from SCCA road racing, ice racing, autocross and rallies for over 50 years.  With this experience Dave brings a great deal of knowledge to the staff of Donovan Motorcar Service
 
Pete Romeo
Manager of Restoration and Special Projects

Pete has over 20 years of experience in restoring and maintaining collectible cars, and it shows in every vehicle that he touches. From a show stopping Triumph TR 2 to the most famous and unique Jaguars of all time the Low Drag Coupe “CUT 7″ his restoration skills include elegant fabrications, custom upholstery and tops as well as the patience to achieve perfection.  His special talent includes re-wiring and electrical harnesses and include creating the documentation we use to properly restore Jaguar XKE wiring.  Pete’s attention to detail and ability to provide prize winning customer satisfaction are truly remarkable.
 
Dave  Wills
Service Technician

Dave joins Donovan Motorcar Service with years of experience and as a graduate of a respected automotive technology program.   He is happiest when his turbo’s are spooled up and the power is getting to the road.  His family has a long history in the world of automobiles and his Uncle was a pioneer in high performance Porsche modification.  Dave brings his in depth knowledge of automotive service to every project
 
Patrick Donovan
Restoration Technician

Patrick is the youngest member of the restoration shop.  He graduated from technical school and rebuilt the engine and upgraded his Saab with a stick shift transmission.  His passion is the meticulous restoration of vintage Jaguars, assembling them with the utmost care and upgrading them with modern technology.  Patrick’s expertise includes sound and temperature insulation, better suspension components and performance tires.
 
Dean Forsman
Public Relations and Promotional Specialist

Dean automotive passion dates back to when today’s vintage cars were new.  His first car off the production line was a fastback Chevrolet he painted at his dad’s body shop at ten.  His interest in British cars started with Austin Healey’s and his first job was as a 17 year old mechanic at British Motor Service in New Jersey.  A ride in a Porsche Speedster turned him on to German car’s before he had his license.  He then found the 1958 Porsche Speedster he still owns.   He loves cars of all descriptions and brings an engineering background to his interest of high performance sports cars.
