1968 Jaguar XKE OTS
SOLD!
This 1968 XKE roadster was owned by a loving and passionate enthusiast. This car has been maintained at our shop and always kept in excellent mechanical condition. Used summers with the Capital region club for tours and shows it is a wonderful way to enjoy an XKE convertible without the higher price of a full Series I XKE and still have the attractive smaller bumpers that were enlarged in the Series II cars for DOT compliance. This solid XKE is a perfect example of the ideal choice for an XKE to use often and without complaints but cracks in the front side engine frames will require them to be replaced. The complete engine/gearbox, front suspension, and more, must be removed and replaced. It is labor intensive but does not require specialist skills. A competent mechanically skilled person can do the replacement. Most enthusiasts are swayed by perfect paint, chrome and interiors but then are afraid to use the car as it was intended, this is the car for that unafraid new owner. Call for Dean or Brian for the complete story or to arrange a visit in our showroom.
